Plan B and adapt

We have been staying at my parents' place for three months. It's our first time living all together at Alpiarça.

Despite all the challenges of living in someone else's home, I am deeply grateful. It's been a beautiful experience.

In the meantime, "Casa raízes" is on deep structural work. Cross your fingers for us!

Living in the countryside means sharing our life with other living animals, such as bees, butterflyes, frogs, salamanders, snakes, field mice, lizards, all kind of birds, wild and domestic cats and dogs, amongst others. They are our closest neighbors.^^

With them I realise daily that life goes hand in hand with death. Some eat others, some attack for territory, others only survive under certain conditions and like us, they are perishable.

The cycle keeps moving forward with you or without you. With electricity or without it.

We keep adapting and moving forward.

Sometimes, most of the time, our plans do not produce the expected results and the situation keeps changing. In this case, we either follow plan B or C, and seek help from other people.

Sometimes it's frustrating but we keep walking.

Be strong and courageous.

I'm very excited!

My solo exhibition "Ver e Sentir através do desenho"/ "See and Feel through drawing" at the Serpa Municipal Library will happen from the 30th of May to the 21st of June 2025.

The exhibition brings together a range of artistic works from drawing and painting to ceramics.

It will open on 30 May at 16:00 at the Serpa Municipal Library, with a drawing activity for the general public (ages 10 and over).

The exhibition is part of the 9th Serpa Book Festival (FLiS). (FLiS - The programm).

If you are near by, come and say hi! It will be fun.
